The Big Tall Terrible Giant

Recent portrait commission for a private client, with just the right amount of random brushstrokes and colours (that is, ALL OF THEM.) It was a pleasure to work on this piece!

I always find fascinating the way paintings with clearly impossible colours like this one still look realistic from a distance, as long as the value structure is decent and the large-scale average tones are not too impossible... there's so much room for experimentation and randomness!
