Memorial Portrait

This portrait was painted a few months ago for a private client, in memory of their late grandfather. It’s always an honour to work on such portraits -- I’ve been there, I know how important every memory can be, but it’s also a huge responsibility because of what’s at stake.

So I did my best to hint at all the joy and kindness, all the bittersweet nostalgia, all the memories of smiles and great times together in this painting, and I hope that’s what my client and their family saw in this piece… I hope it could help, even if only a little.
