Just So You Know

Cover art for Sarah Hogle's romantic short story "Just So You Know".

Since it's a follow-up story to her book "You Deserve Each Other" (published by Penguin Random House/Putnam), I was asked to re-use as much elements from the original cover (second image, designed by Ashley Tucker) as possible -- with a suuuper romantic Romeo&Juliet twist! It's the first time I've had that kind of assignment and it was great. Kind of like these "drawn this in your style" challenges that cool internet kids do. This also gave me an opportunity to use magenta as a unifying colour, which is unusual for me but was really fun :)
